Meta data included in the versioning of documents

Use meta data to structure information in documents. Now the meta data is also version managed.

Meta data - or information about the file - is very important to structure large amounts of files. Many of our customers rely heavily on meta data that tells them things like: is this version approved?; which building/floor/department does the drawing describe?; does the protocol contain decisions?

Some of this data stays the same through all versions but some of it changes from version to version of the document. We have now changed the way you can structure work so that each version has its own unique meta data. This means that you can keep one file throughout the whole project and only update the relevant meta data when you create a new version. You find each version's meta data under the version history tab in a document's properties.

This feature is especially useful for customers who share document versions in document sets.
