Guide to permissions in Boards

Boards: Permission

Explanation of the permission settings in Boards, what users / admins are able to do.

Custom Permissions: 

  • Disabled = All groups (Project and Central) have "Update" permission to the Board. 
  • Enabled = Only Project Groups have "Update" permission to the boards and you decide which groups that should have what permission

Permission level: 

  • No access: The group cannot access the board.
     
  • Update: Enables the users in the groups to; 
    • Manage Tasks, including; 
      • Adding new Tasks 
      • Edit Status, Due date, Reporter, Assignee, From & To-groups, Description & Attachments 
      • Make a Decision 
      • Copy link 
      • Comment
      • Get a @-mention with e-mail notification
      • Subscribe & Unsubscribe 
      • View History
    • View Boards, including; 
      • Copy link to Board
      • Access Board, List and Matrix view 
      • View Decision Log 

  • ONLY Admins (central) and Project Admins have the permissions to:  
    • Manage Boards, including; 
      • Create a New Board 
      • Edit Board Name, Columns & Permissions 
      • Export Board to Excel 
      • Delete Board
      • Delete Tasks
